A Brief Non-exhaustive History of NVC in India
- 2004: Marshall Rosenberg conducts the first International Intensive Training (IIT) in India in Bengaluru.
- 2006: A 3-day event in Nagpur, Maharashtra, is led by Marshall Rosenberg and attended by 3500 people in January.
- 2006: The next IIT in India is conducted by Marshall Rosenberg in Pune, Maharashtra, in November.
- 2008: A 3-week long NVC programme in Auroville, Puducherry is led by Indians and International Trainers.
- 2009: A series of workshops are conducted in New Delhi. The Delhi weekly NVC practice group is born soon after and thrives to this day.
- 2010: The first International NVC Convention is held in Rishikesh. This event attracts participants from all over India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Phillipines, Sri Lanka and beyond.
- 2009-2020: Visiting trainers conduct programmes in different parts of India.
- 2020: The NVC Trust is registered.
- 2023: A Mentoring & Assessment Programme as well as an International NVC Convention is organized by the NVC Trust in Panchgani, Maharashtra.
- 2024: IITs in India are resumed in India starting with an IIT in Bengaluru, Karnataka in February.
